The Bach 42B trombone features an 8-1/2" one-piece hand-hammered yellow brass bell that has defined the symphonic sound for generations. The .547" large bore combined with the traditional wrap F attachment offers outstanding clarity and projection with just the right amount of resistance. The chrome plated nickel silver inner handslide tubes provide the ideal surface for smooth and quick handslide action. The clear lacquer finish adds a subtle warmth to the sound overall. This Bach 42B is in good playing condition and includes its original case and a Bach 5G mouthpiece. Our professional brass technician gave it a full disassembly and cleaning in our ultrasonic tank. No other work was required. Some lacquer wear can be found on the horn's gooseneck and around the waterkey on the hand slide (appears to have been re-soldered before it got here. Some mild surface scratches can be found on the handslide, handlisde crook, and on the bell stem The rotor valve and slides all move freely and easily, and the trombone is ready to go!
