From Conn:
"The C.G. Conn 110H single rotor bass trombone features a .562" bore combined with an open wrap F attachment that offers outstanding clarity and projection with an open feel. The 10" rose brass professional bell produces a deep, warm resonant sound. The chrome-plated nickel silver inner handslide tubes provide the ideal surface for smooth and quick handslide action. The clear lacquer finish adds a subtle warmth overall. The C.G. Conn 110H professional bass trombone is ideal for both symphonic and solo performances."
Single trigger bass trombones seem to be becoming more and more popular these days! They offer a lot of flexibility for players that may need to double on tenor trombone, and are overall much lighter instruments compared to their dual-trigger counterparts. The rose brass bell will give players enough brightness to pierce through an ensemble in the lower register when needed, but will blend beautifully in the mid/high register. This horn would be ideal for both symphonic and combo settings.
Cosmetically, this horn is showing some signs of use, but is in generally good condition. The lacquer on the hand slide is in great shape, with only one or two tiny spots of lacquer wear found near the outer slide brace. The hand slide crook looks to have been dented at some point in time, but those dents have been removed (not by us), and some scarring remains. There is no plating wear on the inner slide. The bell section is showing a some wear primarily in the bell section. There's a some lacquer wear and dent scarring in the bell throat (lacquer wear likely resulting from the dentwork - again, not by us), and a little more lacquer wear around the rim. There are a few small nicks in the bell stem and valve section tuning slide, but none of these cosmetic issues impact playability, and to us, speak only to how much the previous owner loved playing this horn.
Our professional brass technician cleaned this trombone inside and out, and worked out some more recent dents in the bell throat, and no additional scarring was left behind. It got re-lubed and play-tested, and now it's here waiting for you! Come check it out today before it disappears! As we mentioned above, single trigger basses are becoming more and more popular by the day, so don't miss your chance!
