From Conn in 1971:

"The finest, most versatile trumpet ever created by Conn, and the most popular among professionals. Complete new acoustical and mechanical design throughout. Provides exceptional tine control, yet fills easily and has great projection. Ideal for studio, recording, solo or band work. Extremely lightweight. Undercut slides. Gold Lustre-Conn finish over brass."

Conn nailed it in their brief catalog description. This is absolutely the most versatile Conn trumpet we've had in our store. Everyone on staff who has spent time with this trumpet agrees that there is something truly special about this horn. The combination of the lightweight gauge, the aged gold lacquer, and the manufacturing standards of conn in the 60's makes this a fantastic horn that truly anyone would be happy with. Come try it out and see for yourself. You will not be disappointed.

An ultrasonic cleaning and some additional labor to lap the inner 3rd valve slide was required to prep this instrument for sale. Our professional brass technician completed the work and gave this trumpet a thorough play-test, and this trumpet is now ready for sale. It's in excellent playing condition. Some lacquer wear can be found on the bell stem near the crook where the players left thumb may lay against the instrument, and additional wear can be found near the finger buttons. Both of these spots of wear are signs of consistent use, which is never a bad thing when its still in this great of condition. The upper 3rd valve slide stem shows some signs of repair from the labor the slide needed (mild lacquer burn), and the bottom of the valve casings show some slight scratches. The only other blemishes are spots of lacquer wear near the main tuning slide crook, and on the bottom outer 3rd valve tuning slide. The leadpipe is rot-free and the plating on the valves is 97% intact - 3rd piston showing minor wear towards the bottom.
