Generally speaking, this King 2350 is in great shape. The only wear in the plating that one might notice is from regular use, but that is not to say that any plating has worn off. A few scratches and polish marks can be noticed throughout the bell and body, but none of these result in any raw brass showing through the plating anywhere on this instrument. Minor dents can be found in a few hard-to-reach places on the inner and outer wrap, but these don't impact playability in any way. We recommend replacing this sousa's included case, as it looks to have traveled many miles in its day. 

Our professional brass technician spent a long time prepping this King 2350 sousaphone for sale. A standard cleaning in our ultrasonic tank was first on the list, and some dentwork in the bell and the outer branch followed. Some dent scars were left in the wake, but no plating was compromised. Our tech also replaced the neck and tuning bits, and spend a long time repairing the included case installing many new case corners and a large replacement draw latch.
