Used King 2B Silvertone Tenor Trombone, excellent condition, early 1940's.
From King's 1946 Catalog:
"The fact that Tommy Dorsey, the world's most celebrated trombonist plays a King is evidence enough of the superb qualities possessed by this instrument. His beautiful tone and flowing style require an instrument that can translate the sentiment of this 'Sentimental Gentleman' into a language which is the envy and admiration of musicians everywhere.
"So popular this model has become that it would be impractical for us to enumerate individually the hundreds of discriminating artists now playing the King 2-B Trombone exclusively. Many outstanding 'name' bands are now featuring trombone sections composed entirely of Kings."
This trombone is being sold as-is. The trombone and its original case arrived in our store in excellent condition, and anyone coming to look at this horn will truly be impressed. It has a gorgeous hand-engraving on the bell, and the silver plate has held up beautifully over the years. For a trombone nearing 80 years old, it is really in pristine shape. Come to Horn Stash today to check it out before it disappears!
