Looking for a tuba on a budget or a tuba to add to your collection? Then look no further than our Lyon & Healy BBb tuba. Lyon & Healy was based in Chicago and best known for making concert harps. Through the early 19th century, they manufactured many different instruments. Accurate historical information about Lyon & Healy instruments has proven difficult to find, as much of Lyon & Healy rerecords have not been kept. What we do know is that this is a 3-valve BBb tuba with 16" bell and a .686" bore size, and it is in playing condition. 

Our technicians have seen this horn before it became part of our inventory. This tuba received an ultrasonic cleaning and re-lube; the tuba was disassembled cleaned ultrasonically and all parts were scrubbed inside and out. Dents were also removed from the bell. After this service, the customer then had the opaque bronze lacquer applied to the tuba, either at home or at a different shop. It is not the original finish of the instrument, the original was a satin silver. Once it was brought back to our store, our technician oiled and lubed all slides and pistons to prep it for sale. 

We are selling this tuba as is. Some inaccessible dents remain on this tuba's outer wrap, and a few scratches can be found on the body as well as a few patches that were installed before the tuba arrived here for either of its services. The Patches can be found on the inner wrap by the valves and the bottom of the outer wrap.
