If you could own a significant piece of trumpet history, would you consider it? What if it was in fantastic shape, recently cleaned and serviced with an upgraded bell? And how about if the trumpet in question was (at least in part) constructed by Vincent Bach himself? The answer is obviously "yes," so you'd better hurry over to Horn Stash because there's no way this New York Bach Trumpet we just got in will last very long in our line-up.
Before the famous Mt. Vernon period of Bach's history, Vincent Bach manufactured mouthpieces, cornets, trumpets, flugelhorns and trombones at 3 separate New York locations. He started at the Selmer music store on 14th Street in 1918 making mouthpieces, moved to 41st street after incorporating and starting prodcution on trumpets and cornets, and then moved to 216th street in Bronx and added flugelhorns and trombones to the prodcution line-up. It was at this 3rd location that Vincent Bach made the trumpet that we are talking about. This trumpet was made a dozen years before the Vincent Bach Corporation moved to their famous Mt Vernon facility in 1953, and has held up fantastically over the years.
At some point in this trumpet's history it needed a bell replacement, and putting a Bach Artisan bell on this vintage trumpet's body gives it a projection and resonance that wasn't possible in 1941 when the trumpet was made. Our professional brass technician also gave this trumpet an ultrasonic cleaning and replaced the its springs and valve guides. For nearly 80 years old, this trumpet is in excellent shape and anyone would be lucky to own it. Stop by Horn Stash ASAP to try this New York Bach Trumpet before it gets snatched up!
