The Selmer 1492 student oboe has been a staple of Selmer's production line for many years. To help student players master basic and intermediate fingering techniques, the 1492 is outfitted with a simplified conservatory key system. The crafted silver-plated mechanism offers easy playability, incredible responsiveness, and reliable intonation.

Our professional oboe technician serviced this oboe. All keys have been oiled and adjusted; then the inline F pad was replaced as well as the tenon cork. Overall, this oboe is in great condition! When this instrument was photographed, the technician shined the silver keys, however as the oboe has been out in the show room, tarnish has built up on the keys.
