Buescher trumpets are popular for their free-blowing feel, and even response in all registers. They would make a great option for anyone looking for a nice vintage trumpet that doesn't break the bank. This Buescher 228, however, is quite a unique one that deserves a little extra attention from anyone that has Buescher brass on their radar. The "Top Hat & Cane" engraving on the bell (and the fact that it's a lightweight Buescher trumpet) makes this a rare and collectible trumpet and the "US" engraving on the bell makes this trumpet a military issue horn, so one can trust that this was manufactured using the highest standards.

Our professional trumpet technician gave this trumpet a thorough inspection before we put it up for sale. We found it to be clean and in great shape, showing some signs of previous repair (particularly on the leadpipe, showing evidence of some previous solder work), which we always take as a good thing. Its silver plate is still very bright and while there are a few scratches typical of a 70-year-old horn, the overall excellent playing condition of this horn vastly overshadows any cosmetic blemishes one might find. Come to Horn Stash today to check out this great Buescher 228/400 Bb Trumpet!
