Coming in at over 60 years old, this Buffet Super Dynaction Alto sax is ready to keep up in any musical situation. Often known for being the "rival" to the Selmer Mark VI, the Super Dynaction is often forgotten but this horn packs a punch! It has a dark and full, complex, big sound, and a nice low end. The Buffet Super Dynaction is a mix of vintage and modern manufacturing techniques, and because of this, there are some quirks - the tone holes are drawn and the ergonomics of the horn is similar to the Mark VI but the Super Dynaction does not have a tilted left hand table keys.
To get this horn back into playing shape, this alto needed quite a bit of work when it arrived here, so our professional woodwind technician spent a lot of time with this saxophone. Many pads were replaced (All palm keys, High C, Bis Bb, A, G, Low Eb and C), adjusted the pad levels, straightened and regulated the keys, as well as replacing the neck cork. The body and keys are showing some minor lacquer wear that is typical of instruments this age, but does not affect its playability at all.
