The DEG Caravelle Bb Trumpet is a workhorse instrument, and would be suitable for a student to learn on, for a pro to practice on, or for an advancing player to march with. DEG instruments are generally most well-known for their marching band hardware, and this trumpet would be no exception. This trumpet was built heavier than the average student trumpet, so it would be more resilient in an outdoor setting. The 0.460" bore will give players plenty of room to project through, and the yellow brass will offer a nice, even response.

Cosmetically, this trumpet is showing some signs of use. Both the front and the back Z braces look to have been resoldered at some point, and there is some mild lacquer wear in the brass surrounding. The brace connecting the 2nd valve to the leadpipe is also showing signs of resoldering and lacquer wear. Neither of these solder jobs were done here. There are also some marks on the mouthipece reciever, as well as some very mild surface scratches on the slides and bell, which is common for student instruments,. Our own professional brass technician did, however, remove some dents from the bell, rethreaded the 1st valves top and bottom caps, and cleaned the instrument in our ultrasonic tank. They also added 3 replacement finger pearls, and repaired some interior case lining. After a play-test, it was brought to the retail department to sell!

It's a great horn on a budget, so come check it out!
