Looking for a great-looking vintage horn from France that will give that classic hot club jazz sound, keep up in any concert band setting, but also feels tight and centered in all registers? We got you.
This Leblanc Symphonie II Bb trumpet is beautiful in both sound and looks. Its raw brass finish is even throughout the instrument, and gives a little darkness to an otherwise bright tone in all registers. The medium bore will give players just enough resistance to blend in with a section, but the bell will help this horn soar over a band if the player needs to push it a little bit for a solo. This would apply to both a jazz and concert band setting. In short - this horn is equally versatile as it is beautiful. The accents on the top and bottom valve caps and the coin on the main tuning slide brace all give this horn an incredibly classy look.
Besides the ultrasonic cleaning that this horn got when it arrived here, this horn required no real labor to prep for sale. The horn is dent-free, and shows no evidence that any solder joints were ever broken. This horn was cared for and respected in its previous life, and we're excited to have the opportunity to find a new home for it. Its included original case is showing wear, which is expected for a 70-year-old case, and the Schilke 12 mouthpiece that comes with it is in good condition.
