We are big fans on P. Mauriat here, and it is great to have a used one in stock! The System 76 models are professional level saxophones, and the builds are based off of vintage saxophone builds with a modern twist. The sax features an oversized bell, which, like the body and neck, is hand hammered by P. Mauriat’s expert craftsmen. Together with the instrument’s enlarged bore, the larger bell provides impactful bass tones and allows the sound to project, while opening up the horn’s overall tonality. The System 76 alto saxophone also comes with P. Mauriat's Super VI neck, based off the famous Mark VI neck. The Super VI’s wider bore taper delivers a big, broad, bright tone and a responsive feel. With its free-blowing design, the Super VI gives you control over the dynamics and timbral variation of your System 76. This horn is great for all types of music styles and groups like jazz ensemble, jazz combo, concert band and pit orchestra. This is a fun saxophone to play on and has a big, dark sound!

Once arriving to our store, this horn needed minimal service. Our professional woodwind technician has serviced this instrument, adjusting and oiling the entire instrument, as well as replacing the Eb pad. Once the work was done, our technician spent quality time play-testing the horn. Cosmetically, the horn is in great condition however the finish is starting so show some wear around the mouth of the bell, and also near the engraving.\
