Theory: This book provides instruction, reinforcement and creative application of theory concepts through writing, sightreading, and eartraining activities – all within a fun-filled context.

Technique & Artistry: This book features “Technique Secret” exercises which train students in firm fingertips, light thumb, fast fingers, hands together coordination, and wrist float-off. An “Artistry Magic” page at the end of each unit explores expressive playing. An appendix of the 12 major 5-finger positions and 7 white-key minor 5-finger positions is included.

Performance: This book offers a collection of effective pieces in a variety of styles, designed to be used in conjunction with the Lesson and Theory books.

Gold Star Performance: Features new piano solos for the mid-elementary pianist from Nancy and Randall Faber, some with optional teacher duet parts. These pieces present a broad range of styles to enhance the young musician’s awareness of classical, jazz, folk, and impressionistic sounds. Repeated listening and play-along with the online audio accompaniments will familiarize students with diverse musical textures and sonorities, including a piano sonatina with orchestra.
