This trumpet was modified with a bell replacement, effectively turning a 37 to a 43. The only difference between the two models is the taper in bell. The 43 allows for a bigger, more open sound. This model is most popular among jazz musicians. Despite this, it is a very versatile trumpet for both jazz and orchestral playing.
