Buffet-Crampon are famous for manufacturing some of the best clarinets in the world and the RC is no exception. Named after Robert Carrée (the designer of the R13 clarinet), Buffet-Crampon introduced the RC line in 1975. This pro model clarinet was based off the famous R13 design but with minor changes. The internal bore of the RC is more conical than cylindrical, the tone holes on the RC are tighter and the bell is flared more than the R13, making for a "rounder" sound. 

This clarinet has been completely overhauled by our professional clarinet technician. This includes a disassemble and cleaning, ultrasonically cleaning of the keys, polishing keys, leveling tone holes, replacing tenon corks, adjusting and oiling all key mechanisms and replacing pads. There was also a very minor crack found on the inside of the top tenon on the lower joint, and our technician carefully filled and smoothed the crack, and it does not impact the instrument's playability. Safe to say this clarinet is ready to be played! 

There is a Vandoren B45 with a Rovner style ligature included with the clarinet, as well as a Bam double case (space for an A clarinet). This is a fantastic instrument and would be great for any player looking for a wooden clarinet. Come stop by and try this clarinet!
