Before arriving at our shop, the oboe had a few modifications in its lifetime to help with playability. Most notably an extra key extension has been added to the low B key, enabling the player to play low B and Bb with the left pinky only and without having to close the right-hand low C key. The BC4151 also comes with a removable thumb cushion that helps give extra padding to the right thumb when holding the instrument; the oboe has a standard fixed thumb rest (that the padding attaches to). Comes with a Protec ProPac case.

Our professional oboe technician has serviced this instrument. The keys have been adjusted and oiled and the fork F and C# pads have been replaced. This oboe is ready to be played!
