The Conn Connstellation 48H is a professional .500-bore straight tenor trombone produced during Conn’s Elkhart era and later transitional periods. While it shares core playing dimensions with the well-known Conn 6H, the 48H was positioned as a more elaborately finished, premium variant, distinguished by its materials, bracing, and visual design. Where the 6H is often viewed as a workhorse professional jazz trombone, the 48H represents a more ornate and nuanced interpretation of the same core concept — appealing to players who value tonal focus, balance, and visual craftsmanship alongside performance. The "Connstellation" name was meant to represent the peak of Conn's instruments of this era.

This horn came to us in great condition. Our professional brass technician fully disassembled this instrument and gave it an ultrasonic cleaning. He then reassembled and properly lubricated all slides on the instrument before giving it a thorough playtest to ensure it was in proper playing condition.
