This horn is in good cosmetic condition, with signs of wear in the lacquer on the tuning slides and the bottom of the throat. There are some scratches in the lacquer on the bell flare as well, but these blemishes are to be expected of a horn nearly 20 years of age. Beyond cosmetics, the horn plays well, allowing for responsiveness due to the throat. The Holton 177 is a great option for a step-up instrument for a musician getting serious about their playing. It is a great instrument that can get a student through their high school and college years and beyond.
