The Linton 5K bassoon was designed with young students in mind, featuring a plastic resonite body that is more resilient than professional models and requires less maintenance. These features allow younger players to focus more on progressing their musical skills, rather than extensive maintenance and care that comes from professional models.

Our professional woodwind technician fully disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned the instrument, and hand polished the keys before reassembling the instrument. They adjusted and oiled the instrument to proper regulation and replaced all necessary pads before giving the instrument a final play test, where it was found to be in good playing condition.

This bassoon is in good cosmetic condition, with some wear on the keys and some minor scratches around the body from standard use and age. Outside of these small cosmetic blemishes, this instrument plays great, and is the perfect choice for a younger student looking for their own instrument.
