Schilke describes this trumpet's response as "big and broad" and they are spot-on. This trumpet has a massive sound with very little effort. It is our opinion that this horn would be best suited in a commercial setting, but the right mouthpiece could help this trumpet back off a little and blend in an orchestral setting. The reverse leadpipe and the large-throat bell make this horn quite effortless to project with. 

Cosmetically, this horn is in superb condition. There's not a dent or scratch on it, and the only signs of use are polish marks from previous cleanings. It did arrive here with a very small dent on the left side of the bell throat, and our brass technician was able to smooth that out without leaving a scar. Beyond that, our technician re-lubed the horn and hand-polished it before bringing it to our sales department. No ultrasonic cleaning or any other work was required to prep this instrument for sale. It includes a Bach wooden double case, also in great shape, however the emblem on the case has fallen off.
