What more can be said about the fabled Selmer-Paris Mark IV? These horns are what all other saxophones are compared to; Mark IV saxophones set a high standard and absolutely live up to the reputation.
Around the late 1960's, there was a slight manufacture change to the Mark VIs and the tone of the horn became brighter compared to the earlier models. This horn has a brighter sound, but it is a focused and warm sound. Other than that, the key action is comfortable and compact under the fingers, allowing for fast response and nice overall feel.
We are selling this horn as is. Prior to arriving here, the saxophone had work done and looks like dents were removed from the bottom of the bell. Our professional saxophone technician has inspected and played the horn, and found no work needed. The lacquer is original on this horn. There are multiple spots of lacquer wear on the saxophone. It's in good condition for its age and is ready to go.
Be like the jazz legends, John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins, and come check out the holy grail of saxophones! This will sell soon!
