Are you looking to explore the rest of the clarinet family? Then look no further than the Selmer Paris Model 22 Alto clarinet. This Alto clarinet was made in the early 1970's in Paris, France; it is in excellent shape, with the body and keys showing a little wear, despite being over 40 years old. It was definitely previously owned by a player who got some good use out of it, but also maintained it very well. It should be noted that the upper and lower joints are stamped with two different serial numbers. After spending a long time with this instrument in our shop, we've determined that everything between the upper and lower joints work together exactly as they should, and we believe you'll find get the same results after play-testing. This alto clarinet has a neck-strap loop and fixed thumb-rest, but does not have a floor peg. There are no cracks nor any evidence of crack repair anywhere on the body of this instrument. Minor signs of use (cloudiness, common with age) may be found on the keys and bell, but are not evident without looking very closely.
The Model 22 alto clarinet arrived in our store in decent condition, but to put it into its best possible playing condition, our professional woodwind technician completely repadded this instrument with white Roo pads except for where cork was appropriate. The tenon corks were found to be in good condition, so our technician did not replace those. Its original case is included, as well as an "Educator" brand B5 mouthpiece.
It's a great player, so stop by Horn Stash today to check it out! Don't miss out on a great deal like this!
