Selmer is a reliable and trustworthy manufacturer; though they are mostly known for their saxophones today, their trumpets that are around are still great players. This trumpet is a great option for someone looking for a unique trumpet that has a versatile sound. The large bore makes this trumpet a great option especially for those in jazz settings. The unique ergonomic design, notable in the valve casing shape, was designed by Maurice André.

Our brass technician gave the instrument an ultrasonic cleaning before removing several dents throughout the instrument. The z brace between the bell and leadpipe was resoldered and the horn was given a thorough play test to ensure everything was working properly. Though it seems like its receiver had been replaced before coming to Horn Stash, it is still in great condition. There is plating-wear in all the expected places, understandable for a trumpet of this age.
