This Besson Euphonium is much more of a collector piece than an instrument meant for modern performance. It is stamped with "198 Euston Road/ London/ C. Fischer/ 6. 4th AV. N.Y./ Sole Agent U. States." It has a nice sound, but lacks some of the innovations of modern euphoniums. Intonation is one of the main flaws with this instrument, but it plays with a beautiful, warm tone. 

This instrument came to us in need of some repairs. Our professional brass technician fully disassembled the instrument and gave it an ultrasonic cleaning. He then removed several dents in the bell rim and bow, as well as the 4th valve casing branch. Some solder work was required to access some of the dents, but it came out playing great! There is quite a bit of wear to the plating, but it does not diminish the excellent sound quality it produces.
