Beginning and advancing flutists stepping up to an open-holed flute for the first time might have trouble covering the holes. The Yamaha Flute Key Plugs help young players adjust to their new instrument as they grow into it. The plugs are made of a soft material that slips easily into the tone holes, and fit at a recessed position where they do not directly contact the player’s fingers so that touch and playing feel remain essentially unchanged. The plugs can easily be removed one by one as the flutist becomes more comfortable playing with open holes.
